During his stay as a guest professor of CUI, Prof. Chris H. Greene (Purdue University), winner of the “Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2013”, held a lecture series on „Collisions, Spectroscopy and Interactions in Atomic and Molecular Systems“ at the Centre for Optical Quantum Technologies (ZOQ). After the first lecture, PIER scholarship students were invited by Dr. Jörg Maxton-Küchenmeister, head of the science program of Joachim Herz Stiftung, to have lunch with Prof. Greene to hear more about his scientific carreer.
Prof. Greene also used his stay to meet with professors of Universität Hamburg and scientists from DESY and enjoyed a lab tour.
