CUI-Professor Dr. Jochen Küpper (Universität Hamburg, DESY) has been selected to receive a Consolidator Grant of approximately 2 million euros by the European Research Council, ERC. Within his project „Controlling the Motion of Complex Molecules and Particles“ (COMOTION) Starting in spring 2014, Prof. Küpper will develop methods to bring complex molecules and biological systems into the gas-phase, quick-freeze them and then transport and manipulate them via laser-light and electric fields.
