Mildred Dresselhaus Guest Professorship 2014

For the second time, CUI is calling for applications to the Mildred Dresselhaus Guest Professorship. The award has been established in 2013 to promote outstanding female scientists.

Mildred Dresselhaus, Professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering at MIT, has given her name to a worthy cause.

In 2014 the Mildred Dresselhaus Award will again be given to a successful senior scientist and a younger scientist with high potential. They will be invited to work in Hamburg within CUI for a period of up to six months in 2014. CUI provides excellent research conditions to attract world-leading researchers to Hamburg with the aim of starting new and intensifying existing collaborations.

Please feel invited to submit your nomination of a suitable candidate or your own application (letter of motivation, scientific CV including the five most important publications, list of invited talks, teaching experience as well as research interests as one single pdf file) to Wiebke.kircheisen@cui.uni-hamburg.de until April 30, 2014.

The awardees of the Mildred Dresselhaus Guest Professorship 2013 are Prof. Dr. Tamar Seideman, Northwestern University, USA, and Prof. Dr. Rosario Gonzalez-Ferez, Universidad de Granada, Spain.
