CUI is now calling for applications to the “Mildred Dresselhaus Award 2015”. The award has been established in 2013 to promote outstanding female scientists.
In 2015 it will again be given to a successful senior scientist and to a younger scientist with high potential. The awardees will be invited to perform research in Hamburg within CUI for a period of up to six months, to give lectures, and to focus on a topic of their choice. The award is connected with a generous travel and living allowance as well as further financial support.

Important aims are to establish role models for young women in the physical sciences, to attract world leading researchers to Hamburg, and to start new and intensify existing collaborations.
