Poster campaign to celebrate the University’s anniversary

Yesterday the Universität Hamburg started a poster campaign to celebrate next year’s 100th anniversary. CUI spokesperson Prof. Horst Weller is one of the models; he was photographed in the Miniatur Wunderland, a location which fits perfectly to his research field in nanoscience. The campaign shows the close connections between the University and the city of Hamburg: four different posters which will be exhibited in the Underground, in busses and special Citylight-spaces present researchers and students who strengthen the appeal of Hamburg as a business location, support city planning from a scientific point of view, or have a share in the protection of species.

In 2019 the Universität Hamburg will be 100 years old. All year long the University will make the city a campus and give people multiple opportunities to experience the University’s diversity and it’s importance for the city. The poster campaign is the beginning, showing scientists and students whose stories can be found on the anniversary web page, where the posters are also offered to be downloaded. Further stories about the University and the people behind the institution will follow.

The posters and their stories can be found on the German anniversary web page. The article “Wo Nanoteilchen für Miniaturwunder sorgen” gives a detailed view on nanoscience.
