“I am delighted to have an opportunity to write a few words to express my appreciation of the establishment in my honor of the Mildred Dresselhaus Guest Professorship at the Hamburg Center for Ultrafast Imaging,” Mildred Dresselhaus wrote in the magazine “Mildred Dresselhaus Award and Recipients”, which appeared just a few days before the renowned scientist passed away at the age of 86 in February 2017. The magazine gives interesting insights into the lives of the awardees and the woman who lent her name, including portraits and questionnaires answered by the prize recipients.
